The project is in two (2) phases, the first phase is the “Power Generation” and the second phase is “Power Transmission”
Power Generation
The plant will have 950 MW of operational power generation assets in its phase one and produce 650 MW in simple cycle and followed by combine cycle with additional 300MW through HRSG and STG mechanism.
Power Transmission
Kwale Genco FZE (KGF) is constructing a 65 km Double circuit transmission line which connects KGL Plant to 330/132kv Asaba substation.
